Job Title: Assistant Administrator

Location: McKenzie Living Springfield, Thurston area, Springfield

Type: Full-Time, Exempt (Monday - Friday)

Salary: $51,500 - $90,000 DOE

Reports to: Campus Administrator


Company Overview:

Gateway/McKenzie Adult Residential Care consists of a group of affiliated 24/7 residential care facilities dedicated to providing compassionate care to adults struggling with mental health issues including Dementia, Alzheimer's, brain injuries, challenging behaviors, and aging-related needs. Founded in 2015, our McKenzie Living Springfield location features 21 rooms across two houses, designed to support clients with dementia and other co-occurring mental health disorders.


Position Summary:

As an Assistant Administrator, you will support the Campus Administrator in managing daily operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality resident services. This includes program administration, staff training, and compliance oversight. Additionally, you may assist the Nursing Department with processing orders and labs, coordinating admissions and discharges, and scheduling appointments with healthcare providers.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in managing day-to-day operations and facility management.
  • Support the delivery of resident programs and services.
  • Facilitate staff training and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with the Nursing Department on various administrative tasks.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Health or Social Service-related field preferred.
  • At least two years of professional or managerial experience in Health or Social Services within the last five years.
  • Familiarity with federal and state healthcare/assisted living/residential care facility regulations.
  • Behavioral Support Specialist (BSS) certification or QMHA certification is advantageous.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must possess or be able to obtain a 40-hour Administrator Certificate within three months of employment.
  • Eligibility to apply for Administrator's licensing within six months of hire, following the successful completion of required exams.
